Ange said she will take us to a place near a river for our seafood dinner. Her Malacca friends took her there once, and she found the seafood fresh, tasty and affordable. The restaurant is actually beside Sg. Duyung, although I seriously doubt that any duyung (dolphin) can survive in the murky brown water !
We ordered a jug of teh limau ais at the recommendation of the waiter, who said that the coconut water on that day doesn’t taste so good. Then Ange and Ade went to choose their seafood.
They ordered cockles, fried large prawns, razor clams fried with ginger and siakap fish cooked the “Heaven & Hell” way, meaning ½ grilled with sambal, the other ½ steamed in banana leaves. I also took a packet of their nasi lemak (it was very small) to try the sambal cili and to share with my nieces.
