Weekend At Malacca – Sunday Part 2

When we finally finished the coffee and cheesecake, we were very full but reluctant to go home, so instead we went shopping for Ange’s bed and mattress. Since she’d be moving soon, she need to get a bed and mattress for her new room. We went to a few shops. In the end, she has yet to decide on both the bed and the mattress, but we all agreed that the bed frame can be cheap, her mattress should be of good quality, and she can buy foam ones instead of spring, because those are cheaper.

Around 4pm, we went to Yong Ann Birds’ Nest shop for some desserts, and also a much-needed toilet break ! I saw some great-looking puddings outside the shop and decided to order one. The shop inside is very clean, and their toilets are clean and bright.

Ange ordered Honey Ginseng birds’ nests, Ade and Eve ordered Rock Sugar birds’ nest, and I got a Mango Pudding birds’ nest. My pudding came first. I took one bite, and……….. “What the !??!!!”

This is the mango pudding

Firstly, the “birds’ nest” tasted like partially cooked agar-agar. Crunchy. Also, there were sooooooooooo little of them that I can hardly see them. While I pass the pudding to Ange for tasting, the rest of the order came. Ange opened the cover and ……. “HAH ? Where’s the birds’ nests ?” Haha… all these three orders, especially the Rock Sugar birds’ nests looked like plain water. You really need to strain your eyes before you can see the birds’ nests. Hahahaha.

Rock sugar water. Birds' nests ? WHERE ?

First and last time we’ll be going there.
